The wait for a table was a lengthy one - 30 minutes - but in all fairness we did not have a reservation and it was a weekend. The delicious food and really cool atmosphere more than made up for it though. We will definitely be back.

Simply put, the Ripe is the best restaurant & bar in the US. The food is awesome, the staff is personable and the Mokito...heavenly. Whoever makes the plantain boats should be eligible for an OD or OJ award next heroes day. My only gRIPE with the Ripe is that there is not a branch in Chicago. Maybe Andy can FedEx me a piece of Jerk Chicken every now and then.

I miss you guys... see unno next summer.

Thanks "Sherradine" for your accolades on our catering. We seldom get comments about our Catering division of the business, and your comments are refreshing! We place the same if not MORE emphasis on the quality of our catering trays, to make them taste as close to the restaurant's dishes as possible, although its cooked in larger volumes. We appreciate your business and look forward to catering your party again in the near future.

Thanks for doing such a good job of catering my office event a month or two back. We've always enjoyed the food at the restaurant but honestly (I admit it) you can never be sure how good the catering is especially when the items aren't on the regular menu but we chose well. The Seafood rice, salmon and lamb shanks were perfect and my colleagues were veeery appreciative :-). Thanks and I’ll be back.

Have been wanting to try Ripe for ages and finally made it last night. So glad we did..First of all there are so few alternatives after 9PM in Southern Westchester and Ripe is always on Jamaican time...they think nothing of 6 people walking in at 10PM for dinner)-gracious,professional,welcoming-and the food! Well that was a pleasant surprise.delicious jerk chicken and the steak-so many flavors-exquisite...we are going to brave the crowds and return very soon... So relieved to find a fun, laid back ,great restaurant... Sevice also on JA time, but really friendly and attentive so u don't really mind..

We came because of some of the weekend specials we saw from your email list - the ackee and crabmeat clafouti and the blue fish pepperpot. We had never heard of them before and not only were the dishes creative but perfectly delicious. Please make the lychee martini a permanent addition to the drink list as well. We could not have asked for a more amazing meal. Thanks Ripe.

I HAV BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES. THE FIRST COUPLE OF TIMES I TRIED THE RASTA PASTA (SHRIMP 4 TIMES AND CHICKEN 1 TIME) AWSOME! THEN I TRIED THE CURRY SHRIMP WHICH WAS ANOTHER EXCELLENT DISH. THEN I HAD THE JERK RIB EYE STEAK. OH MY GOD! I AM REALLY IMPRESSED THAT A STEAK THAT THICK CAN BE SO TENDER AND JUICY. I'M ALWAYS RECOMENDING PEOPLE TO THIS SPOT AND THEY COME BACK WITH GOOD COMMENTS AS WELL. I WILL BE THERE TOMORROW WITH TWO MORE FRIENDS TO TRY OUT YOUR DISHES...SEE YA TOMORROW.

I went to Ripe and was very disappointed. The decor and our waiter Jeffrey were great. The salad was good and my husband said the shrimp appetizer was tasty. My sister said the quesidallas were good as well. The drinks were excellent-the only thing I would go back for! Though I usually do not order steak out, based on the Bobby Flay throw down and my family's recommendation I ordered it. I should have had the Rasta Pasta! The steak was fatty and grisly -shame on you! There were four of us, two of us ordered the steak medium well, one medium and one medium rare - they all came out the same! Though I know you are famous for your spices, I did request that you not put the sauce on my steak and waste it, but my request was not adhered too. After dinner, the only dessert was tiramusu - an Italian dessert and there was no coffee! What no Blue Mountain coffee!

First time to the restaurant on Sat. Sept. 27th, we did wait forever for a table as it was packed, but was well worth it, because we got picture with Usain Bolt as he was leaving. You must be doing something right since he chose your restaurant to eat at with so many other choices in New York. And he was right, the steak was juicy and full of flavor!
